About Michael

The sport of Basketball is fun, competitive, exciting, thrilling, and rewarding. Basketball is a sport that requires fundamental training and skill building in order to transform one's ability and take it to the next level. Instruction from a qualified coach/traininer is vital to the development of a player.

I will provide the fundamentals and priciples required for a player to succeed at any level. Regardless of skill, ability, or talent, I have programs and routines that are fleaxible and can be catered to any and all needs.

I love the sport of basketball. Coaching and instructing students/players is my passion and keeps my heart pumping. I love growth and success, two things that are measured by you as an individual. Helping people grow and become the players they want to be, and then watching them succeed at the sport they love, is the ultamite feeling and what I live for.

I played basketball at Sacramento City College for two years. Once my playing days were over, I was extended an opportunity to join the coaching staff at Sacramento City College in 2010. From there, I networked with other professionals in the basketball world who exteneded opportunities to me that included coaching AAU teams, running camps, and training athletes of all ages and skill levels.

I am currently a College basketball coach. I have been an assistant coach for the Men's basketball team at Sacramento City College since 2010.

In addition to coaching at Sacramento City, I have ran AAU programs and coached boys and girls from elementary school through high school.

I have participated and worked several basketball camps in and around the city of Sacramento.

I am currently persuing my bacholors degree in Journalism, and a minor in Kinesiology with a auhorization to become a K-9 Physical Education teacher, at California State University Sacramento. I will graduate in 2019.

About the lesson

Upon notification of potential interest in basketball training, I will email parents all of the information needed in order to take the next step. The email will include price for training and training package options. It will also include dates, times, and locations of training, etc.

I have worked with a wide variety of students of different ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. I am willing to work and help any student who is eager to learn and better thempselves in an effort to become a better basketball player and person.

Find the right coach/trainer for you! Not all coaches will cater to an individuals need and, instead, will teach the same things to every student. This is a disadvantage to a player who is looking to improve upon a particular skill set they need to work on individualy. Also, find a coach who has the experiance you feel is necessary to make you a better player. Lastly, find a coach who is patient and willing to put in the necessary time to ensure progress is made and skills are improved.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should ask themselves what it is they hope to accomplish through basketball training; be specific about what it is you want. Students should consider their current skill level and think about what areas of their game they wish to improve. Students and parents should have a goal in mind and make sure the trainer they choose understands this goal and uses this goal as the driving force for training.

Details

I offer an introdutory training session for $25. This will be an evolutation session for both myself and the parents/trainee.

For continued training, I offer training packages. Packages range from a minimum of 6 sessions to a maximum of 15 sessions. The price is $30 per individual session, $25 for group sessions.
