About Travis
There is so much that excites me when it comes to working with young basketball players. I get excited about teaching my passion which is basketball. I've been playing basketball all of my life and I love the game. The fact that a young player wants to learn the game and I have the ability to help them is exciting to me. Also, my satisfaction comes when a player learns something new. The look on their face when they learn a new move or drills that they didn't do prior to my training with me gives me satisfaction.
What makes my service great is the interaction I have with the kids during our training sessions. I just don't tell them what to do. I am able to show them or even do the drills with them if they need me to.
I have a wide range of experience when it comes to training. I've worked many camps with kids who were just beginning to high level aau kids that train everyday. I also have experience training collegiate hoopers as well. Putting my fellow teammates through drills and different workouts after practices became second nature to me and only helped me develop more as a trainer.
Natural Instinct. Ive grown up around the game of basketball and it makes up a huge portiton of my life. Ive trained and worked different basketball camps all throught highschool and college. However I really began training after I won a State Champioinship my senior year. A lot of kids in the community wanted to get better so i started doing group sessions after school in the gymnasium.
I cannot remember a time when I was not playing basketball but if I had to give an age when I started I would say 4. Played in high level AAU Basketball tournaments traveling across the country from 9yo to 17yo. Won a NY State Championship in 2016 with Elmont HS and captured the MVP Trophy. Additionally in HS made the NY ALL STATE Second Team. Went on to earn a full athletic scholarship to the University of Bridgeport where I started at point guard and helped lead the team to a #3 national ranking. .
