About Michael

There are many great MUSICIANS out there... But very few EDUCATORS.

I am an experienced PERFORMER and EDUCATOR with real world experience, educational and professional networking and insights into the modern industry.

Ready to start virtual lessons immediately!

Master of Music from SUNY Purchase in NYC

Instructor, non-majors, SUNY Purchase

Bachelor of Music Eastman School of Music

11 years as a bandleader for Cruise Ships and jazz groups in NY

I love music because it brings joy and comfort to everyone it touches. Studies in the Arts increase productivity across all other areas and promotes teamwork and a sense of community. Most of all I love teaching music because no matter who you are, where you are from, or what your skill level you can participate and make music apart of your life

I started teaching because I had great teachers and I have always wanted to give young musicians that same inspiration as I had

I have been a professional musician since the age of 15- my mom had to drive me to all of my gigs on the weekends and sneak me into the back door! I have performed extensively in NYC, and have traveled the world performing in a show band for Princess Cruises for the past 11 years for more than half a million people per year! I have an MM from SUNY Purchase and a BM from Th Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York

About the lesson

First I want to know what excites them about music, and use that as a catalyst to introduce the fundamentals of music and bass technique. The key is to make learning fun and instantly useful!

Intermediate High School and College Level students- students who have performed in public and those who are training for college audition tapes

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Does this person have credentials from the best schools?

Do they have a long and proven professional career?

Can they help me on my musical journey?
