Matt is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had, academic or extracurricular. He knows his material and he knows how to teach it in a simple way that can easily be applied. He’s positive and encourages well and gives the right kind of feedback in order for the student to grow and improve without getting frustrated. I grew significantly as his student.

Matt has a great for knowing what exact muscles you’re using when learning sounds. He was able to help me adjust my practicing so that I could pick up sounds a lot quicker.

I loved the atmosphere. Matt has an amazing way of being able to personalize each lesson for each student. I came in thinking I was an experienced vocal percussionist, and Matt was more than able to teach me how to improve everything, and overall add to my boots and cats. Working with Matt was such an incredible experience and I plan on getting more lessons soon! Matt was awesome! Every week we would work on different beats that focused on different components of beatboxing like, speed, different sounds, and the quality of them! He asked me what I wanted to get out of the lessons, we worked on just what I wanted to and I saw results come almost immediately! Great guy and a great teacher!

Matt explains new sounds in a way that is easy to understand and emulate. When learning a new beat he breaks it down so it’s easy to learn and sends you recordings of the beat so you can practice. I only had 2 months of lessons but I’ve become so much better. As long as you’re committed to practicing Matt can get you where you want to be!
