About Veronica
We let students take lessons as they wish around their own schedules. We do offer monthly group classes at various levels also which inlcude ballroom dancing, Latin dancing, Swings/Hustles, some Country Western, and social dancing. We also offer choreography/routines for a couple's first dance together as husband and wife, and also for a Quinceañera. We also love our exercise classes and offer belly dancing and aerobic dance classes. I've been teaching for over 20 years and started at Classic Ballroom in Hackettstown. I also taught dance at County College of Morris for 14 years and other Vocational and High Schools, as well. I love dancing and my passion is to teach as many people to dance as I possibly can. There's no greater reward than seeing someone or a couple reach their dance goals.
I studied dance at Classic Ballroom for over a decade, and competed for a few years before deciding to become a teacher. At that point I was trained by my teacher and given beginner students to work with then worked my way up to group classes, creating dance teams, and choreography for shows and weddings. Eventually I opened my own studio after renting space for a few more years and have been at this location for over 13 years. The students actually teach me to be a better teacher. The more I work with them the more I learn how to help others.

It depends on what they wish to do. If they want to join a group class and have never danced before they will start with beginner lessons in most of the dances, but not Viennese Waltz or Quickstep they must take Foxtrot or Waltz first. If they've danced before they may start at a higher level. If they want private lessons I start on a simple dance like the 4-count Swing, and if they want wedding choreography I listen to their song so I know what dance they'll be doing, then at their first meeting with me I give them a few steps from that dance to see what level they're capable of dancing at, then I can create their routine.
