About Curtis

I'm a martial arts practitioner myself and still compete to this day. Everyday I am learning to get better and want to share my knowledge and skills on to the younger or older generation! I train boxing/kickboxing/Muay Thai and BJJ. I have been training for about 7 years now and coaching for 2. I was a college athlete before finding martial arts.

I love the interaction with people. Seeing you improve and get better everyday is what makes me wake up with a smile everyday and get after it!

as young adult I started teaching kids basketball and loved spreading the knowledge and see how happy the kids were with what we were teaching. Now I feel in love with martial arts I want to feel the same and spread my knowledge again!

I have been a life long athlete playing football up to college level. Collectively been training martial arts for 7 years and consistently the last 5 while competing and coaching the last 2 years. Next month I will be a level 1 nutrition coach as well after taking my test!

About the lesson

Always start with the basics and ask what their wants and needs are for our training sessions. Then find out if they have any inabilities and work around from there. You want to make your new students feel comfortable and not thrown into something they feel like they can't do.

I have worked with all kinds of students. From kids to older adults to professional athletes.
