About Adam
Martial Artist, Psychotherapist, NSCA Certfied Personal Trainer and Nutritionist. Offering insight and inspiration 🙏
I have been studying martial arts since I was 3 years old. I have extensive experience competing in karate, Taekwondo, kickboxing, and boxing. I am an Amateur national champion and world Chanpion in kickboxing, and multiple times Golden Glove, New England Open, and Regional champion in boxing.
I seek to teach the techniques and methods as as an extension of the Taoist and Zen foundation that underpins the martial arts. You will often find me using analogies and symbolic language in accordance with these traditions to heighten your understanding of of the movements and mindset of the warrior.
whether it be competitive, fitness boxing, or self defense, you will get much more than your money's worth from my sessions. You will also have some fun!
Empowering others to feel a sense of mastery over thier body, and to rekindle the childlike fascination with movement that so many begin to lose as they grow older.

About the lesson

We have a discussion about what exactly is your goal for your body, mind, and character developement. We tlak about your history with athletics, injury, and psychological relationship to your body and fitness. I want us to be on the same page with your goals moving forward.
Then once established, we begin a class going over the basics of the boxing and/or kicking strikes and footwork/body positioning. The first class is usually done at a slower pace while you learn how to stand, and shift your weight into punches and kicks. If you are already an experienced martial artist or compettior looking to improve your craft or get good mit work, then we will jump right in and adjust as we go along. My goal is to have you take away new knowledge every session...new knowledge about your craft, new knowledge about yourself.
I have worked with all ages from all backgrounds. Whether compettitive or just looking for boxing/kickboxing bootcamp for fitness.
Look for someone who can collaborate well with your own inner knowledge about yourself, but can also challenge you on your blind spots.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Injuries and physical limitations. Buut also I always encourage student to be lofty in thier visions for themselves, cause really, anything is possible.
