About Lizzie

Hello:

My name is Lizzie and I am excited to have a tutoring experience with you. I am passionate about teaching. I have more than 29 years of experience.

My primary areas of instruction and tutoring involve: business, finance, management, budgeting, business communication, strategic management and even research. I have trained many students from all different socio-economic backgrounds.

I am a practical instructor that can simplify concepts to help you achieve your goals and objective. I have a strong business background, practical knowledge and application, and of course; YOU to learn and engage. Together, we will bring forth the desired outcome you need to achieve. Come aboard and lets take this tutoring journey, together.

I most enjoy helping other people. I am energized when I know we have a tutoring session and inspired when I know you are achieving your desired results.

I started teaching in Finance at a technical college. It was a rewarding experience and I enjoyed student success. The experience enriched the students but, I too felt it was equally rewarding. And now 29 years later; I am still teaching business, management, communication, writing, budgeting, and finance just to name a few.

Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree: Business Administration

Education: Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree: emphasis in Management

Professional training: Disadvantage Business Enterprise, Financial Management (FM) certified, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certified trainor, and CPR certified

About the lesson

Typically, the goal is to understand a "new" student strengths and weakness for subject content by asking a series of questions and using an assessment mechanism according to the subject that he/she needs assistance.

I have worked with students of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds. I have worked with students that have very little understanding of subject content and by the end of the course the student walks away confident in the speech and knowledgable in how to solve perplexing issues.

I have also worked with students that are academic scholars and want to be challenged and desire to learn more.

Regardless a student socio-economic status learning is practical and engaging and best practices are used strategically to help the student achieve results.

Make sure that you connect with the teacher. Help the teacher understand what your assignment is so that he/she can best help you and your time is used effectively. If you need examples to have a clearer understanding for assignments let them know. And last but not least, if after three tries its not working because your needs are not being met then let them know. No one needs to spend their money and not achieve the value for services they are paying.

I am always fond of seeing students graduate from high school, college, graduate/doctoral universities. Their achievement stems from hard work, many years of unrelentless efforts to achieve their goal. Having an impact on their achievement makes me proud for them.

What subject do you need help with? What are all the subject areas that he/she covers? What are the expectations? How prepared do you need to be for each session?

How long after the hourly rate do you allow for extended time within the session? If no other appointments can you complete another tutoring session?
