About Jewel
I am a senior chemistry major at the University of Pennsylvania. I've tutored general chemistry for three years and was a general chemistry 2 TA. I am TAing for organic chemistry lab in the fall. I have ample experience teaching children science as well! I've created lesson and experiment plans for grade school students from elementary to high school.
Teaching chemistry is my passion. I want to be a chemistry professor in the future. As a current chemistry student, I absolutely know how intimidating and even scary chemistry can seem, but it doesn't have to be that way. I really do believe that through the right processes, chemistry is accessible to everyone!
I am a current senior chemistry major at the Universoty of Pennsylvania. I've taken classes such as general chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, etc. I've tutored general chemistry at local colleges for three years. I have one semester of experience TAing second semester general chemistry. I've created lesson plans as well as experimental procedures from scratch for all age groups. I cotaught a middle school general science class once a week with fellow college students.

For our first session, I prefer to see where the student is at and get a good feel for the class they're in. Past that, I'm flexible to what the student needs! Some students prefer to ask questions, some like to do problems together, others like more structured "mini lectures." I'm willing to work with and adapt to your learning style!
