About Fei Fei
I have been teaching langauges for more than 20 years. I am a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese. I am super passionate about teaching and working with kids.
I enjoy the moment when students told me, "Gao Lao Shi, I got it." It is a feeling of achievement because you can see that your work was being rewarded. I enjoy the moment when I successfully design a fun learning activity because I know that students will love it.
After I graduated from university, I started tutoring. I fell in love with teaching and working with kids. My sister is an educator, which makes me want to be an educator, too.
I was major in English when I was undergraduate student in China. I got my Master of Education from University of Hawai'i. I started my own language training schools and I have been teaching both Chinese and English for more than 20 years.

I will get to know my student first and evaluate their language levels and decide what kinds of materials that I can use to support their learning.
I work with all different ages groups of students from kindergardners to high schoolers.
I would say that they need to look for a Mandarin native speaker to teach them because of the complications of Chinese language. They also need to find someone who is commited to teaching and shows their passions for teaching because teachers' mindset would impact how students learn.
When I was tutoring a four years old kid, he told his mom that he did not want to go home after the class was over. He said that that it was so fun to stay with James and his friends. Everytime students show their passion for learning and enjoyment for learning, it makes me smile.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students need to think about why they want to learn Chinese. They need to think about what they want to focus on.
