About Sandy
I might not have much experience in teaching other people, but I have a lot of experience in learning languages. Myself have experience in languages learning, including English (Native/Bilingual), Japanese (Professional), Korean (Intermediate), and Spanish (Beginner). I know what kind of teaching can help students the best when it comes to learning languages.
I am a language lover who appreciate different countries' cultures and want to share the beauty of my own culture to foreigners.
I have experience with tutoring a 4-year-old kid English for 6 months. I didn't continue the teaching because I had to come back to the States for school. I was born in Taiwan and moved to China at the age of five with my family. After 10 years of living experience in China, I moved back to Taiwan. I came to the States in 2017. I graduated from Bosotn University with a bachelor's degree in public relations and a master's degree in media science. I studied abroad to L.A. and Kyoto, Japan in my undergraduate years, which were the highlights of my college year.
I am fluent in English and Chinese, both traditional and simplified, Taiwanese Mandarin and Chinese Mandarin, zhuyinㄅㄆㄇ and pinyin abc. I also speak fluent Japanese and conversational Korean.
I have the certificate of Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, but I do not have much teaching experience.
I tutored kids in English, which was the start of my teaching journey. I earned the certificate of TCSOL afterwards and wanted to share the beauty of my own culture to people who are interested in it.
