About Na’imah

Hi, my name is Na’imah Love and I specialize in performing arts (specifically dance). I currently go to a performing arts high school , where we train all day and every week day, in our art. My passion is dance and being able to teach dance to others who also share my passion. I’ve been dancing in all dance genres since I was 5 years old. I got started because I always felt an interest in teaching others, how to do things. I first started out when I was in 8th grade, teaching a all-star cheer team. I was the assistant coach. That experience really helped me further my knowledge on teaching, and how to do it the right way. I’m currently a sophomore in high school and teaching is my passion, this is an amazing opportunity for me to further my knowledge even more. So, by the time I’m ready for college, I will already have this experience under my belt.

The education I have/training , is that I currently go to a performing arts high school (San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts). At my school, we are trained in are art every single day. We are also trained on how to do different jobs, that relate to our art form. Including, dance photography, dance teacher, dance studio owner, and etc. I was also an assistant coach for the all-star cheer team, Cheerforce Poison Ivy. From that job, I have experienced working with children and teaching them.

About the lesson

My typical process, is first I get to know the student and their goals. We then work together to see, how much time and work we need to put in to achieve those goals. Week by week , we track are progress to see how far or close to achieving the original goal.

The types of students i’ve work with range from the age 5-16. I specialize more in teaching elementary school ages but I can also teach adults, and people of the same age as me.

Details

It’s all about the families budget. But, my standard pricing would be $20 an hour, for each lesson. My prices are way cheaper then going to a studio or dance school, to get one-on-one training, which cost thousands of dollars. I’m also here to negotiate prices.
