About Emily

Hello, my name is Emily! I offer services to mentor the application process and provide essay + resume editing.

About me: I am a recent graduate of Cornell University, with a BS in design and Minor in business. I’ve had acceptances to schools including UF, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt and earned scholarships like Questbridge, BK McLamore, and The Rotary Club. I have helped people get into schools like Cornell and Columbia Masters programs, and wrote a college-application guide widely used in various US high schools.

I also provide resume-editing for current college students looking for their first full-time role in business, consulting, or design. I’ve received offers from various Fortune 500 companies including Accenture, Adobe, Johnson+Johnson, and P&G before graduation.

About the lesson

1) Get to know applicant (goals, school preferences, personality, strengths)

2) Scope the process based on the applicant's strengths. Expand on or create new strengths to build a solid application for each school

3) Shift applicant's thinking process into heavily recognizing their goals and past experiences to ideate prompt responses

3) Write strong essays that answer the question and truly bring out applicant's best self as a whole

My process does not involve simple essay-reading, but makes sure I know the applicant's true personality and goals in order to make every essay unique and personal to them. It's much more of an introspective process. That's what colleges want to read!
