About Jessica
I am a passionate learner and teacher, I enjoy helping my students to succeed in their various school and extracurricular activities.
I have taught dance for most of my life and most recently taught at a dance company in Mountain Green Utah. I love teaching big groups of dancers but my passion is working one-on-one with dancers to help them realize their fullest potential!
I have experience teaching a 2nd-grade elementary school class in preparation for my degree at Weber State University. I taught English, writing, grammar, and math.
I have always been interested in teaching and started as a teacher at a young age. I student-taught in many of my dance classes and I taught swimming lessons. As I have gotten older I have also begun to teach and tutor in more academic settings.
I have years of teaching experience and working with children. I most recently took a Childhood Guidance class at Weber State University which focused on the best ways to work with children and help them achieve more! This class was accompanied by an intense in-person practicum in which I student-taught in a 2nd-grade class.

On the first visit with a student, I like to get an overview of what they are struggling with and what they would like to work on. I want to understand their goals to help them achieve them! From there on out we will follow a lesson plan for each tutoring session that focuses on the things that are needing the most improvement.
I have worked with students ages 3-17
Choose someone who is passionate about helping you succeed, not just someone who is passionate about the subject. Anyone can be talented at a subject, but to make a good tutor you have to be passionate about helping others grow.
I recently became a mother! My first child, a little boy, was born at the end of December 2022. It has been the most wonderful and difficult step in my life.

Details
I work with individuals and families to see what best fits their needs, but as a general rule, I charge $15 for a 30 min tutoring session, and $30 for 1 hour.
