About Sean
I have been cooking for most of my adult life. I cook at home, professionally and occasionally cater. I recently graduated from Culinary School with honors. I know what it takes to succeed, and I will help you reach your goals.
I am a member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF); I am ServSafe certified in both food and alcohol. Recently, I have been making and selling diabetic friendly and keto desserts. They are rich, tasty and decadent.

My current job is in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools where I teach scratch cooking to the cafeteria workers and students.
I attended the Culinary Institute of Virginia and graduated with honors (Magna cum Laude). I have over 10 years combined experience in several types of cuisine.

About the lesson

I start with the basics: knife skills, soups, sauces, building layers of flavor. I start with the simpler tasks and work up to French and International Cuisines. The later lessons deal with desserts and cakes, cupcakes, cheesecake.
So far, I have worked with students that have no experience at all. Building on knife skills and flavor profiles.
Have an idea of what you are looking to gain. Are you just trying to be a better home cook, do you want to get into this business professionally? Do you want to cater events, run a bed and breakfast? Knowing what you want to do can help a teacher create a plan where you will be successful.
