About Adina

As a student, I know what students need to succeed. I have earned a coveted spot on the dean's list every semester I have attended the university. So, it is clear that I understand how students work best and what we need to thrive in a learning environment. I am passionate about what I do, and my enthusiasm for learning is engaging for my students. I love to talk through topics and work to get to the root of a problem. I love to talk through topics and show people that everything happening around us can be told in one big fantastical story. Then there is nothing rewarding when I see someone's face light up when everything just clicks. To me, sharing knowledge and helping people achieve their goals is perhaps the most rewarding thing of all.

I have offered my services to my classmates at school, through leading study groups, review sessions, and providing one on one help.

As a current student, I am discovering new, effective study styles and learning strategies every day that actually work for students. Recently, I have had a job working in congress and acquired valuable teaching skills through my work. I worked directly with constituents and learned how to communicate and educate them on the vital work we were doing in our office. I am confident that I have my finger on the pulse on what will help students succeed.

About the lesson

It is essential to first assess the student's baseline knowledge of the subject at hand. I always like to asses study habits and note taking strategies. Then afterward, work on dissecting the holes in their understanding to help build up their confidence.

It is important to think about what you want to gain from the experience. Ask yourself how your tutor can best help you, what you need to do to succeed, and try to think about your learning style. My standard rate is 15 dollars an hour for one on one tutoring session. However, prices are negotiable.
