About Cindy

Artistic Director Cindy Brandle leads Intermediate/Advanced Modern Dance classes combining eastern and western philosophies with vigorous, detailed movement inspired by the idea that motion comes from the inside out. Low, inverted and athletic, Cindy’s combinations are complex, extended mixes of unique movement. Cindy also teaches adult beginning modern dance technique. Open to those with little or no experience! Everyone can dance!! Cindy also leads creative movement and contemporary dance to youth! Bring CBDC to your school, college or community Cindy Brandle Dance Company offers full-length concert performances, community, and professional performance workshops and site-specific presentations. Presenting the work of Cindy Brandle, “Brandle embraces one-on-one intimacy” (Chicago Reader) CBDC can tailor a performance or residency specific to the presenter’s needs. CBDC also provides beginner, intermediate and advanced modern technique classes as well as arts education programs for children. Ms. Brandle gained 16 years of experience as a lead teacher in curriculum-related arts education throughout Chicago and various cities in Illinois, working with elementary, high school and college-level students. She worked closely with students who were physically, cognitively and behaviorally challenged and had experience working with children who are on the autism spectrum. Ms. Brandle feels strongly that kinesthetic learning can be a vital tool for students as an addition to their daily studies. In addition to teaching adult modern dance classes Cindy teaches creative movement to children ages 3-6 through the City of Boulder and creative movement/hip hop to elementary school students. Ms. Brandle is also available to choreograph musical theatre productions.

I love to dance, plain and simple. It is an art form where one can communicate through movement. It is athletic, fluid, and thought-provoking. My favorite moments in life are when dancers find a genuine connection to the movement!

I was inspired by many teachers in my past and wanted to share my love of dancing.

I have been a professional teacher in a variety of ages and levels for over 25 years. I lead adult beginning/intermediate/advanced modern classes, I work with teens and teach creative movement to pre-school age.

In the past I worked extensively with elementary, middle and high school students of all abilities.

About the lesson

Prior to a new session I would like to get as much info as to the needs they would like to address.

I always take the first meeting to assess the level of the student.

Professional, intermediate, and beginning adults in modern dance. Teens who are passionate about dance and study dance intensely. Pre-school age children. And students who are cognitively challenged and some students with autism.

I'm fond of live performances, mostly dance, but also love live music events.
