About Marcia

Dance Windows was founded by ballet and modern dancers who wanted to create new choreography together and perform. From this experience and many years teaching in private academies, music schools, public school students are inspired by a dance that tells a story through movement, mime, working together as an ensemble.

Marcia has been teaching youth (and adults) for twenty years and continues to discover new styles and performing opportunities. Lessons entail multiple goals to have fun while learning about the body, the music, and the acting needed to be a good performer.

Trained in classical modern dance at the Martha Graham School, ballet with Kat Wildish led to performing with Jaan Freeman Repertory Dance Ensemble and Kat's Performing in New York series. In both companies people from many backgrounds, ages and cultures danced together. Whether or not a student wants to become a professional the training builds confidence, team work, and persistence that are necessary in all walks of life.

This year with the pandemic, Marcia began to teach and learn online to stay connected and keep learning and growing. Contact her for zoom classes or with safety precautions to teach in studio.
