About CasSandra
At STEP-by-STEP, my goal is to make sure that everyone learns the line dance that's being taught. I teach each dance step-by-step for 4 walls without music. Afterwards, I get the students to join me as they follow my instructions without the music. I talk and dance at the same time. Then, we'll add the music to what they've learned. I take my time to teach the dance and they'll see that it was so easy!
Also, AARP calls dancing ... "a great mind-body workout," noting that, not only does exercise enhance the level of brain chemicals that encourage nerve cells to grow," learning new dance steps "boosts brain power by improving memory skills."
I've been dancing (in a line) since the '70's. I didn't know that it was actually called LINE DANCING back then. I have my own PERSONAL DANCE FLOOR CD that was created by my daughter about 4 years ago. She created it because see too, knows that I love line dancing. It has 7 line dances on it.
I have not been educated or professionally trained to teach line dancing. But, what I have is a LOVE for line dancing. I want to share this passion with anyone who has a desire to learn the dances.

My typical process for working with a new student is PATIENCE. Although it may be easy for some, it's not easy for all.
I have worked with mostly Adults over the age of 50 and definitely some Seniors.
I would advise each student to wear comfortable dancing shoes and a bottle of water to drink. Although they will be learning to line dance, it is still a form of exercise. Their health is more important to me than dancing and I would prefer that they do it right.
There's another line dancing group that went on an ALL WHITE AFFAIR BOATING EVENT. I am fond of them and will be joining them in 2017.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should consider their health, and/or check with their Doctor, before joining the line dancing class. Although it's not taught at a fast pace, it still dancing.

VETERANS are $7.50/hr.
SENIORS (60+) are $5!
