About Antonio
Trained under the guidance of legendary ballerina, Gelsey Kirkland, and other great Russian teachers, Antonio has a rich understanding of classical ballet. He has gone through extensive training to become a professional ballet dancer in companies in the USA (Gelsey Kirkland Ballet, Ballet Fantastique, and Ballet 5:8). He has also guested in many different organizations enriching his experience as a ballet dancer.
Antonio has been teaching for 8 years now in the Vaganova system. He has done exams for schools and was the Conservatory Director of Ballet 5:8 for 2 years. He was in charge of syllabus work, administrative work, and rehearsals for outreach performances. Antonio desires to continue to share the beauty of classical ballet to all of his students that he comes in contact with. He understands the importance of ballet history and how it can help us move forward to expand the potential of classical ballet. He is knowledgeable in the style of Bournonville as well. He will be going to Copenhagen, Denmark to study this wonderful style and to learn it's history.
