About Saundra

Trained at Fred Astaire studio. Humor. BA in Musical Theater, MA in Psychology

I started right out of under graduate school while still acting

I did acting professionally and all kinds of dance. I trained for years to teach couples dance at Fred Astaire studios. My MA in Psychology helps me quickly know how they learn and how to help couples work together

About the lesson

I discuss their goals and music-dance experience. I give them overview of what to expect and how I teach. Stress to hav fun and always ask questions and if they aren't getting something it's because I need to find a different way to explain it. Also call me with questions between lessons

Ages 6-81. I have taught developmentally disabled, those who have had stroke and all kinds of people in all kinds of professions

Make sure they are trained to teach and they have patience and a wonderful sense of humor

Did a wonderful wedding by the sea with a couple who never danced before who did a wonderful Waltz with lifts, even

My wife and I took ballroom dance lessons from Saundra Woods for more than five years. Are you thinking of taking ballroom dance lessons with a spouse? It is more than simply learning to dance, it is learning a new language of trust and communication, which can be frightening and awkward. Saundra understands that, and is sensitive to how much work couples have to put in to learning to work with each other as well as learning to put their feet in the right places.

Saundra is an excellent teacher. She's kind and patient and knows a variety of different types of dance. She did an excellent job with helping my husband and i put together a beautiful dance to our song for our wedding. Note: my husband didnt know how to dance before we took lessons with saundra! Besides dirty dancing lol If he or i didnt get a step the first few times, she would try different techniques to help us to understand better! She is an awesome person and amazing teacher!
