About Sean

Hi, I'm Sean, the local dance and art scene know me as CREY.

I taught B-Boying aka Breaking for nearly a decade. I'm no longer interested in earning an income from dance. I'm simply interested in recruiting, connecting, and integrating local people into the local scene.

I don't have a lot of time to spare because I work 40+ hours. And, with COVID, public practice spots have dwindled greatly...so you and I connecting will be difficult, it's absolutely necessary you embrace a multitude of teachers.

That all said. If you're interested, I'm definately available to chat, the deal here is...I'm not gonna be your teacher, I'm just your resource guide. Why? Because I think more people could be dancing, more often...I feel this way because I love to dance, and I love to watch people become dope at dancing.

Before we chat, you need to understand that this artform is d extremely demanding on the body. If you want to excel, you need to learn from others—how to stretch properly, how to build up your moves properly, build up your artform properly. Regardless of body type and age, only after about 3-5 years of practicing roughy 3–7 days per week will you be able to start flowing smooth and looking dope. 3 years of you listen to your teachers and practice a lot and 5 years if you don't listen to your teachers, but still practice a lot.

Personally, I love the dance Cypher, aka a dance circle sharing a certain language, style, and spirituality. I also love just doing it.

1. I started teaching to friends during college (2010-ish)

2. I taught children at a couple of small town studios, 2011-2012

3. Began teaching children at Recreation Centers, 2012-2015

4. Left the Rec centers, moved to Cambridge, and started a childrens breaking program in 2015, Continue to teach privately and collaboratively as well.

Practice slow. Listen to your teachers technical advice. And, have extreme patience with your progress, you'll get there.
