About Sarah
I teach art to people of all ages. My approach is centered on the individuals inspirations, ideas and creative process. Everyone can make art.
I love creating and I believe that everyone can create with the tools and the knowledge in how to use those tools. I believe that creating is a healing art, so I love teaching because it keeps me happy and healthy.
I had taken an art class and as it came to an end I realized how much I missed being in the class. I started teaching on my own time to have that creative classroom setting. I enjoyed teaching immensely, but especially enjoyed what I learned by teaching.
I have been creating since I was able to hold a pencil. I am currently attending UNM, completing my degrees. I have several classes I've taught over the last two years that have increased my skill set and education in the art of teaching.

We start where the student is comfortable and then I work into different techniques to teach the fundamentals. We move as quickly as the student is comfortable. I assign homework assignments with each lesson and explain the importance of practice.
