About Elisa
I loved teaching children the visual language of art through traditional techniques and skills. I begin my lessons with a brainstorm of creative ideas that your child comes up with for the lesson. I then guide them through the drawing process, showing them blocking techniques and proportions. Lastly, we add in the color pencil, paint, or any other media and watch their art work come to life! I have been practing art and illustration for 8 years. I attended the Mark Twain school for the gifted and talented for art, and attended the High School of Art and Design, majoring in illustration. I am attending Parsons School of Design College, majoring in Fine Arts. I was awarded the Gold Key Medal Award, and had my art work featured in The Metropolitan Musesm of Art. I am also certified in AP illustration. I have been tutoring Art since the start of 2020, watching my students grow with creativity and skill.

When Covid-19 began in 2020, I decided to start online art lessons for kids. I started with one student a week, then over the next few weeks I worked with over 5, later working with over 20 students.
I am a graduate of the High School of Art and Design, majored in illustration, currently attending Parsons School of Design, majoring in Fine Arts. I have been giving Art lessons for about two years now online and also conduct group lessons throughout the week.

When working with a new student I tackle their strengths and weaknesses to get a good idea of their current skill set and techniques. I begin with a drawing idea that they would enjoy and we progress with pencil, then switch the color pencil for the first lesson.
I have worked with students from ages 4-18, helping each and everyone of them progress with skill and understanding of the art community.
