About Christi
Have you ever wanted to learn how to paint but feel like it's really scary? Does the thought of using oil paint make you feel stressed? I can teach you how to use acrylic, watercolor, and oil paint without it being scary.
I love painting and art. Everyone has their own unique ideas and I enjoy helping people bring their ideas to life. It's great to watch growth from beginning to end.
I graduated from Casper College in Casper Wyoming with an Associate's of Fine Art in Fine Art in 2011, and recently from Southern Utah University in March 2020 with my Bachelor's Degree in Art Education.
I like to help students take their first steps into the art world and get a feel for painting and developing their own style. My lessons are based on the artist in mind and helping students to transition into right-brained thinking. Color Theory is a huge part of my lessons as well as how to care for your paint brushes, becoming knowledgeable on painting mediums, different kinds of brush shapes and brush strokes, different painting styles, and looking back at famous painters from the past.
