About Maria
I work primarily with oils and collage. I have travelled to 17 countries for inspiration and have lived in 3 of those countries. I attended New York University for my Masters in Visual Art Administration and hold a Bachelor of Fine Art in illustration and design. I began teaching during my undergraduate program. I wanted to find out if art therapy would be good for me to go into but decided to continue teaching instead of pursuing another Masters and Phd.

I have a meeting with you either online or in-person. We talk about your goals and go from there.
I have worked with students k-12 and adults.
I would adk for samples of their work and a list of gallerys and museums they have shown with. I would also ask how many students they have or if they offer private lessons.
In 2015 I curated an adults with disabilities exhibition at the Santa Cruz Art Museum.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should know that on top of paying for the class there are always other cost involved like your supplies, canvas, books etc. In addition, it takes time to master your medium so be gentle with yourself. You will reach your goals.

Details
I hold a Masters in Visual Art Administration from NYU. I achieved a Bachelor in Fine Art in Design from Cornish College of the Arts. I have been given creative grants by the city of Seattle. I started an international non-profit arts organization that operated for 5 years before attending NYU. I have been exhibiting my paintings internationally for over 20 years.
