About Gwendolyn
I currently teach drawing and ceramics at the Essex Art Center. I joined this community because my classes have been very popular. I wanted to create a space where students have an opportunity to learn from me even if classes fill up. This will give students the opportunity to hone into a specific drawing goal they have. Sessions are catered to what you want to learn regardless of your skill level. My speciality is working with the figure/ anatomy, chiaroscuro, and trompe l’oeil. In addition to 1:1 live teaching you will receive pdfs you can follow along and keep for future referencing. I received my BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts/ Tufts in Boston and Post Baccalaureate in graduate studies from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. I am currently a resident studio artist at The Brush Gallery and Studios in Lowell.
I enjoy creating and teaching art. It's heartwarming to see a student evolve through the process of learning to gain confidence and discovering their creativity.
