About Dara

I am a out of the box teacher, coach and mentor. I believe in starting with where we are right now, in skills, mindsets, emotions , motivation and willingness. My focus is on the needs and desires of the person I'm teaching, coaching and mentoring . My goal is to work in partnership with my clients to help them in their journey in reaching their goals and healing and transition to new a better things in their lives.

I have spent a lifetime it seems creating and teaching others how to create and express themselves through many different mediums of art.

My passion is seeing others have a hunger to create and express themselves through their art. My belief is Art in all forms reaches into the soul of who we are and helps us to express our emotions and depths of who we were created to be. Art is a great facilitator in healing and growth in our lives.

Combining art with coaching can bring new connections with oneself and skills such as organizing and focus to help a client to reach the goals desired in coaching.

I started teaching when I was young and have been hooked every since.

I have been doing art for 40 years. I have a background in graphic design and Art education and currently working in Art therapy coaching. I've been teaching private and public lessons for over 25 years. I have taught all ages from mommmy and me with toddlers past age of 80. I have had the previlage to work with people of all backgrounds,cultures and disabilities. My expertise is working with those who have not had Art classes or experince in creating.

I have been the owner of my own public art studio and gallery as well as my private studio for many years. Today, I create and use my own studio to do my work and help others to find thier abilities in creating art and find healing through the expressions in the Art they create.

About the lesson

I like to visit with the clients first to find out a little about them, what thier previous art expereince if any, and what their expexctations are. This helps me to work effectively in helping my clients to reach their goals and expexctations for learning and growth. I want my clients to enjoy their experinces with art and have fun!

I have worked with people from prek through 90 years of age. I have worked with persons of all different disabilites - physical, mental and otherwise.
