About Jonny

Life long artist and some time teacher. I instructed classes at 3 local paint and sip studios for over 3 years. Kind of a dream job.

I was a long term substitute teacher at Tulsa Tech for a semester. Graphic Design.

I draw, I paint canvas, I do murals when I can find them, I doodle on my iPad with ProCreate all the time. I love Photoshop.

I craft these crazy glasses which I sell as a side business so if you want to craft I am down.

After high school I tried my hand as a substitute teacher. I didn't teach for years as I chased dreams in California. When life lead me back to Kolahoma I need a job and I was lucky enough to get a job as a painting instructor at pinots Palette. That is where I learned how to get past the butter flies of leading large and small classes through a finished painting. It was a great fit for me.

Also I went back to subbing. This time at Tulsa Tech.

For years I instructed art classes of all sizes. Some classes had 3 students and some had 50. It was a mix of showing and explaining my technique and showing them on their own canvas if they wanted. Also fixing unwanted mistakes was important. Classes were 2 to 3 hours long.

I also went to art school in Los Angeles.

About the lesson

Probably to meet them for coffee and talk about thwart the want to do or learn. I'd show them my art and look at theirs. We would discuss art in general. I'd talk about my experience in it. Ask what their experience with art has been. Then we'd start planning a time and day to meet up. And I'd gather whatever tmaterials I needed. Then we'd meetup and have an art party. Ideally.

All ages, men and women. Of all levels, from novice to expert. High school students some that wanted to be in the class and some who didn't. Some with special needs.

There is this artist group I found on social media called inkslingers. The do events sometimes at bars and places around Tulsa. I participated in a few and get to sell my artwork directly to them . It is so fun. I love doing stuff like that.

i also just painted a sign on the exterior of a building here in Tulsa. I'm really happy how it turned out.

Details

I'd be willing to work for 20 an hour. We could go for up to 2 hours. I have a job I work at regularly so we'd have to work around that schedule. I'm around cherry street in Tulsa so meeting around here would be easiest.
