About Bryan
What I enjoy most about teaching art is sharing creativity with other people. I have found a great deal of peacefullness and focus through making art, and I love to open that door for my students. The feeling of losing track of time while making a painting or drawing is unlike any other, and its wonderful to see other people discover that.

About the lesson

Before we begin a lesson I like to get to know the student as a person and pupil. I want to know what their interests are as far as movies, tv shows, music sports etc. This is to help me communicate with them about techniques we learn. Sometimes I find it helpful to make analogies between drawing or painting and sports or music.
I also work with the student in the first lesson to find out their ability level and their goals for the lessons.
I believe in teaching art as a way to express ideas and feelings, while developing skills and techniques. As the lessons progress the student will work on both of these ideas. My ultimate goal is to help them find ways to teach themself, so that they will continue to learn after the lessons are completed.
