Thirty years ago, I studied drums with Billy Wear and the he was the first in a long list of my diverse musical mentors. I use the fundamentals he taught me to this day. (I even still have the books we worked out of) Additionally, I've used his lesson structure with countless private students of my own over the past 20 years.

Today I have 2 music degrees, teach at one of the top technical Universities in the nation and lead two working bands on different instruments. None of which would have been possible without a rock solid foundation. If that's what you want from your teacher, Billy is your man.

Billy taught my son for two years and gave him a great fundamental knowledge of music via his drum lessons. My son is now 18 and switched over easily to guitar because of the musical foundation Billy provided him. If you’re a parent, Billy is great with kids, he is patient, his lessons are interesting, and he can communicate effectively. He keeps the parents engaged by discussing the lessons and assigned homework. He is easy going, very nice, I highly recommend Billy Wear.
