About Acamper

I am an enthusiastic native English speaking teacher from the US with a background in teaching English as a second language. I am tefl and tesol certified and have helped many students improve in all areas of English including accent reduction and pronunciation.I will take the time to listen to my students and help them achieve the goals they are trying to accomplish. I am also a motivator and will motivate students by using activities and encouragement to bring out their personal best . I am patient and kind and I will take the time to help students by patiently working with them, fully acknowledging that this is not their native language. I love walking alongside students as they grow and learn new things. I love working with students and helping them become more fluent in their verbal pronunciation, English comprehension and conversation.

The thing I enjoy most about the work I do, is having the privilege to be a part of a students first steps in learning and using English as a second language. Helping students overcome obstacles and achieve lifelong success for their future is my goal. I have always enjoyed working with students to achieve their goals in learning English. It is my passion to teach and watch students grow as they progress in meeting their learning needs.I will help them improve in understanding and comprehension and bring care,patience and compassion to my students as we embark on their learning journey .

I got started teaching homeschool and loved it.Then went on to pursue early childhood education and then teaching English as a second language.I have also previously worked in the medical field and it made me realize the importance of being able to communicate effectively .It sparked in me the passion to become tefl certified so that I could help non English speakers communicate better in all situations not just in healthcare settings.

I am tefl and tesol certified and have a background in early childhood education. I also have worked in the medical field many years and strongly recognize the importance of being able to communicate and verbalize the needs and wants of patients and their families when English is not their first language.

About the lesson

It is always understanding what the student wants to accomplish and meeting their goals. I will do that by taking them through a step by step process that breaks down a learning plan that will get them where they want to be. I will concentrate on many verbal as well as pronunciation skills to help and make the student more fluent in English.

I have worked with students with different languages and backgrounds. I believe each student should have a lesson customized for their learning style and abilities. I have also had students who just needed a little extra help with their homework assignments. I do that as well.

Look for a teacher who is willing to work on your specific needs and are educated in those areas.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should know what their goals are for learning English. They should ask themselves am I looking to conversate better or pronunciate. Is it spelling or writing that I need to improve on or all of the above.They should also think about the amount of time they have available to commit to lessons and how they will fit into their schedule.
