Laurie has been working with 2 of my kids tutoring them for reading and providing support for online learning. My son is a 2nd grader who is a very reluctant reader, and Laurie's strategies and multi-sensory techniques have helped him make so much progress and it has been very reassuring to watch his confidence in his reading skills grow over the past year, and see his proud little face when he figures out he can read signs at the store or titles on the TV. My daughter is in 4th grade and also has progressed significantly with reading fluency and spelling. Laurie provides many tools and supports for keeping her organized and for her writing assignments, which she proudly shares when I try to help her with homework. Her English teachers at school have noted marked progress as well. Laurie is kind and great with both kids, but also has high expectations. She is always professional and reliable, providing progress reports every few months which also allow us to see progress areas. I highly recommend her.
