About Rene
Certified English Language Arts & Reading teacher. Miss G currently teaches 8th grade, remote-learning students in a local district. She is comfortable with remote instruction and is typically available for evenings and weekends.
Teaching is in my blood, which I suppose is fairly common! I am the daughter of an educator and come from a long line of public servants. Working with students is my passion and teaching allows me to do what I love.
I hold a bachelor's degree in History (don't worry, I minored in English and took more than my fair share of higher level literature courses!). Certified in Texas for ELAR 7-12.

The most important thing when working with secondary students is getting to know their point of view and what drives them to want to succeed. I love creating an environment that allows students to have passion for, and equity in, their own learning.
Most of my experience is with 8th grade ELA, Pre-AP and on-level.
