About Angelia

Possessing over ten years of business office writing and editing experience, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. I am TEFL certified to teach English to speakers of other languages. I have tutored in Language Arts, ESOL, and Microsoft Excel to K-12 and adult students.

I am a patient tutor who will work with you and/or your child to develop an Tutoring Plan that identifies your specific needs, learning style, interests, and strengths & weaknesses. Together, we can discuss how online and/or in-person sessions might be structured within your schedule-giving you an efficient way to meet your Learning Goals.

My motto is simple, "practice makes perfect". Having this discipline in life will promote success. My services will help you to improve your language skills and also to love learning! My students will receive:

I enjoy guiding students through the process of learning and when they are able to fully grasp the material, finding relativity to their lives.

I started teaching as a Microsoft Excel trainer and Middle School Substitute Teacher. I enjoyed these positions so much, that I couldn't see myself doing anything else. I love teaching and helping people of all ages reach and exceed their learning goals.

I am TEFL certified, have taught large and small (1-1) classes, and have six years of office writing and administrative experience.

About the lesson

I will contact you via this website or email to set up meeting day, time, and payment details. Then, I will send you a Zoom meeting invitation link. During the first session, I will assess the student's current level and propose course plan. I will also ask the style of learning you'd prefer and about your interests for learning and in life (ie. career, education, testing, conversation confidence, etc.). We will work together in building a fun learning program.

From kindergarten to adult students.

Knowledge is better retained when practiced. Please be mindful of the work and resources given to you. Do the work challenge you? If you're not being challenged, are you really learning? Practice your knowledge, challenge yourself, grow your mind!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask yourself: What do I really need help with? (Build confidence in speaking and or in writing; improve grammar through speaking and or writing; phonetics--improve accent pronunciation of certain letters and words; Build vocabulary; improve reading and comprehension; improve sentence structure skills; etc.) Try to be as specific as possible with your needs.
