About Susan
I am a licensed therapist and have 20 years experience working with special needs clients, issues of test anxiety, and behavior disorders.
I am in partial retirement and decided to do some tutoring for students in need of help in English studies, which includes areas creative writing, college preparations, literature and even the lost art of handwriting. It is fun to work with young people looking to improve their skills again. I hope to encourage them to love literature as much as I do!
I am a published author of both academic journals and professional magazines within my field. I worked as a teacher while working on my Master's degree.

Prior to the first session with a new student, I would ask to meet or speak with parent or guardian to discuss academic history and goals. During the first session it is helpful to provide some examples of previous work as well as current school assignments and recommendations from teachers.
