About Chris
I've been using the Montessori method to teach children how to improve their reading ability for twenty-two years. When students, with their families do the work the child is able to improve their reading ability a whole grade level.
As part of my work as a Marriage and Family therapist intern.
BS in Psychology. Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.

With parent present have the student read aloud to guage their ability. Then teach the family the method. Follow up with usually only one or two sessions.
Ages 9 to 17. Typically those who are one or more grade levels behind in their reading ability.
Does the student want to improve their reading skills? Is the family willing to work with them consistently for a brief period daily? If so then find a teacher who can teach this technique and watch positive results very likely occur within a month.
A student was having difficulty reading sufficiently well enough to do all his work in class. After receiving instruction in this method and implementing it at home with his family for one month, his reading level increased one grade level.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Always feel free to go to your teachers regarding your academic needs. Ask, "Do I want to be able to read more effectively? Do I have one or two family members who are willing to work with me to improve my reading skilks?"
