About Mitchell

I currently substitute at Livingston Public Schools and am a Graduate student at Montclait State University going for a Master of Arts in Teaching

About the lesson

I always like to begin by assessing a student's natural abilities. I feel it is important to begin by instilling confidence in a student to ensure they understand that having difficulty in a subject is nothing to be ashamed of. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and what is difficult for one could be a breeze for another.

I have worked with students in middle and high-school primarily. I have some experience with special needs students as well.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should be realistic with their expectations, both in over and under selling themselves. Aiming for the stars is a an admirable goal, but I find it helps to pull out a telescope to see what journey lies ahead first.
