It starts with understanding.... you! (or, your student/child).
I see where the student is at, what they needs and/or desire from the skill and our time, look in depth at what the work will entail, focus it, and from there we create a personalized, deadline oriented attack plan.
I believe in letting the page come to us, to a degree. Inspiration should be captured and nurtured. A proficient writer, though, also has mastery and can attack the work.
We will discuss and plan. However, inking one's thoughts, experiences, and emotions is a powerful, poignant process. We don't hesitate on this; we dig deep and begin drafting quickly.
Excellence comes from editing.
We will hone and polish each facet within the assignment until it truly shines. The products we create will reflect the incredibly competent writer, which we will have worked for the student to have become!
