About Devyn

When a student struggles in school, parents instinct is to hire a tutor. The hard part of that is hiring the right one. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to provide the student one on one that they lack in a classroom setting. I encourage the students to develop their creativity and curosity with the tenchniques I create to make studying fun and exciting. I have been babysitting for 5 years that requires me to do homework help. My goal is being apart of a students success store. I enjoy watching the light bulb go off for the student once they get it. Once it clicks for them, they automatically feel for inspiried and eager to continue their work. They form trust with me and know im here to help and encourage them.

Once I started my first babysitting job at the age of 14 and saw the connection i built with the kids, I decided to join my early childhood education program my high school had to offer. They had a preschool during the morning and once I became a teacher, I knew I wanted to have my own classroom to teach and help kids develope their curosity and confidence in school.

I have worked in a preschool that taught me much paitence when it comes to teaching four year olds. Ive done homework with many of the kids I have babysat and noticed the different styles and techniques I use with each kid that best accomadates them.

About the lesson

Breaking down what they're used to and what techniques work best for them to achieve their goals. I observe how they do work and see exactly they need improving on. I allow them to express their concerns of what they want from me and what they struggle and and provide them different ways we can overcome them together as a team.

The age range of students I've worked with run between 4 years old to 14 years old.

I would advise my student to make sure that the teacher wants whats best for that student and truly wants the student to achieve in any goals they have and for them to feel confident with their work.

At my college I am apart of a club called Project Sunshine where we attend children's hospitals and play and hang out with them to take their minds off of their conditions. An event i attended to about 2 months ago, I built a relationship with one of the kids and they told me how much they look foward to me coming to play with them. It gave me a sense of relief to know I was able to give them happiness in the dark situations ther face with.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I dont think students should feel the need to think through any of their questions. My goal is to give them a comfortable space where they can ask whatever questions they have regardless if they think its important or not. At the very begininng I will go over with the student to find their needs and what they want from me exactly. I want them to look as me as someone who will encourage them.

My standard pricing would run between $15-$20 an hour but, I am willing to work something out with the parent/gardian if needed.
