About Fran

Languages have a special place in my heart, and I am here to help anyone to learn them. My services include English and French.

For English, I can teach you the entire language, as well as the study of English and American literature, essay writing...

For French, the extent is a bit smaller, but I can teach you the basics, my that I mean, you won't be able to write a disertation in French, but you would be able to have a normal and pleasant conversation.

I didn't. This is my first time, ever. I expect I will probably learn more that the student, in my first weeks.

I have a bachelour's degree in English, and a B1 language test in French. I have written a number of short stories and one drama in English, some of which have gained recognition.

About the lesson

First, I would like to get to know the a bit, not start the work right away. Then I would ask him/her what their main issue is with the subject, what they understand the most, or maybe what interests them the most. Then I would customize my approach to their needs, so they don't have to learn something they already know, and everything they learn is of interest to them. This way the progression of a student is faster and more interesting.

Look for the lowest price :) Just kidding. They should find a teacher that best suits their needs. I think that the biggest problem with modern educations is that the pair students with teacher who do not fit them. I think everyone has the potential to learn anything, as long as they find the right teacher. With the wrong teacher, studying is a boring and arduous process.

Well, this happened only yesterday. I had neglected my study of Mandarin for a few months, and yesterday I decided to attend a class in the local university, where they teach Mandarin. I remember feeling so relaxed in that class, I remember parts of my brain opening as I listened to the language, like muscles you haven't used in a while. I felt that so many possibilites opened up just from this one class. I also remember feeling incredibly guilty for neglecting Mandarin, it is truly a beautiful language.

I sincerely hope that one day I might make such an impression on a student.
