About Rebecca
I've been teaching now for about 25 years. I do private lessons as well as in-person in a Primary school.
With my one-on-one students, I tailor the program not only to the needs of the students, but their learning styles. Each student is different. The advantage of one-on-one classes is that we can work specifically on certain areas & to greater lengths than in a regular classroom.
Most of my one-on-one students have been with me for two years or more.
The best part of my year is Back to School Day! I *love* meeting my new students. This goes for my online students as well.
One of my hobbies if puzzles. Students are like puzzles in a way - the objective is fit all the pieces together to great a whole picture, but the best part of that is the journey getting to that whole picture. Teaching is like that for me. I love the journey!

With a new student, the first step is to conduct a needs analysis. From there, we create a program specifically for that student. The program will, of course, fluctuate as the student progresses.
The second step is getting to know the student as a person - who they are, what their interests are, etc. - & getting a feel for our fit.
Once, this is done, one of the most important things is assessing how the student functions & what type of learner they are.
Then, we get to work!
