About Katelyn

My service stands out because I tailor my teaching to the needs and goals of my students. I take time and patience to understand the learning styles of my students and plan lessons accordingly.

I enjoy tutoring / teaching because it has always been a career goal of mine, and I am truly passionate and dedicated about education. I enjoy seeing my students understand and excel, and enjoy learning from them as well!

I got started teaching as a undergraduate tutor and teaching assistant. Now in grad school, it is my aim to become a professor and teach at the collegiate level.

I am currently in the second year of my graduate program at the University of Oklahoma, with an emphasis on higher education learning. I have experience as a teaching and graduate teaching assistant, private tutor, and public school teacher (pre-K through 12).

About the lesson

My process when working with a new student is to determine their style of learning. Once this is found, I plan lessons accordingly. It is also important to understand the goals of the student and the curriculum and how we might together intersect the two.

I have worked with students ranging from pre-K through undergraduate students.
