About Sarah
Covid-19 has caused many parents to rethink traditional teaching methods. Virtual learning will take some getting use to, but many kids love it once engaged. It really make me happy to see the joy on a child's face when "they've got it."
I was forced to begin teaching 14 years ago when my son was diagnosed with Autism and I quit my nursing job to stay home with him. My son was unable to speak, while teachers and doctors gave up on him, stating "he'll never talk or go to college." Needless to say that after spending years of teaching and guiding my son, he is now communicating effectively and is in close proximity with his peers. I've also volunteered at his school and taught other children with special needs.
I have an MBA with a focus in Healthcare Management. I have volunteered at my children's school, assisting kids with Autism and various congnitive disorders to read, write and speak. Many teachers have told me I was doing a great job in Homeschooling my children, once I pulled them out of school.

1) I first like to retrieve as much valuable information from the student and parent to get a feel of their needs to work out a smart solution.
2) I like to set SMART Goals, which are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely goals.
3) I would create a realistic plan that both the parent, student and child could agree or come to terms with.
I have worked with students who struggle in k-9th grade math, reading and science. I have also worked with students with specials needs including ASD, ADHD and other cognitive disorders. I have also assisted Grad Student write articles, essays and other papers.
My advice would be to ask the teacher how well do they communicate with their student?
Also, ask the teacher if they are good listeners and leaders.
Once the Corona Virus Pandemic took surface, my children regressed when school was out. They quickly caught up to speed and are now learning how to code.

Always be sure that the question is appropriate and it aligns with the instructor's teaching ability. If the question is pertaining to the subject, ask and wait for a response.
