About Jeremy

I love to help my students break through barriers and step out of their comfort zones, but I believe that encouraging achievement of short-term goals can lead to the big stuff!

I love seeing the "click" in my students' faces when they understand a new objective. I love when students are passionate about learning MUSIC!

I took a passion to teaching as early as high school. Several younger saxophone players in my school band program looked up to me and the path to teaching became clear. I began to teach privately after school and on the weekends to younger school mates.

I have a Bachelor's degree in music from the Herberger Institution of the Arts at Arizona State University. But my truest source of education has been through experience as a working musician - touring, recording, and playing live in some capacity every day!

About the lesson

I cater to each and every student's needs, depending on their background (whether musical or brand new to music) and look for ways to individualize new topics.

I've worked with beginning general music students on playing piano and learning the most basic music and theory fundamentals. I've worked with advanced college level students on instrument technique, theory, improvisation, composition & arranging. And everything in between!

You want to hire a teacher who is a true professional, in all senses of the word. You want a teacher who is knowledgeable, a critical thinker, one who has sympathy and empathy which can help navigate different student's strengths and weaknesses, and most importantly, a teacher who is flexible.

I challenged a current student of mine (he is in his early 20s) who is brand new to playing flute and by our second lesson, I would sing a melody to him and he could play it back to me, without sheet music - only using his ear!

I am happy with the decision because her face lights up after every lesson with Mr. Jeremy. He is good at relating to kids, and keeping them motivated and enjoying playing. She makes sure she comes prepared for every lesson. I would recommend Mr. Jeremy to anyone.

Jeremy has really helped me develop my clarinet tone. As a high school student struggling to improve during these times, Jeremy always encourages me to work towards something. I can tell that he really cares and it makes me feel happy because my last teacher was kinda mean and grumpy.

He always is knowledgeable about any topics/questions that I throw at him and gives an in depth response. From music theory to practical application; his feedback is paramount relative to any other music tutor I have encountered.

In the beginning; I was very timid and conscientious about my musical abilities but Jeremy has been genuinely encouraging and supportive which has helped me greatly. I don't like being cheesy but blah blah blah he's pretty great.

$50/half hour ($40 for this website)

- Discounted Package Rates for this website students:

Four 1-Hour Lessons: $300 (makes each lesson $75 instead of $80)

Four 45-Min Lessons: $220 (makes each lesson $55 instead of $60)

Four 30-min Lessons: $140 (makes each lesson $35 instead of $40)

**These are my home studio rates. The rates increase if I commute to the student's residence or location.
