About Kyle
· I am a saxophone, flute, and clarinet instructor with a Bachelor of Arts in Saxophone Performance from the Bob Cole Music Conservatory in Los Angeles. I am a classically trained saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and former Air Force Band Professional Musician. I have been actively playing for over 16 years (since I was 11 years old) and teaching for 7 years. I have toured all over California, Utah and Arizona, and performed in front of thousands of people.
I am very passionate about music and have many years of experience teaching students of all ages from beginning to advanced skill levels. My approach is centered on building up the student's fundamental skills, such as sight reading, music theory, and tone production, in order to help them succeed in music. I keep things fun and relaxed so my students always look forward to our weekly lessons.
I started teaching in college as a way to make some extra money while in school. It turned out to be a great experience teaching students too.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Saxophone Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music in Long Beach, California. I have been a musician for over 17 years and taught lessons for almost a decade.

My process for working with a new student is to listen to them play to guage their skill level. I look for the strengths and the weaknesses and teach practicing techniques for improving those areas.
I have worked with all ages from 10-71. I won't accept a student younger than 10, but outside of that, the sky is the limit.
I want all of my students to have fun while we learn music together. I am a relaxed, easy going instructor, and I won't put too much pressure on my students. But my advise would be to practice every single day for at least a half hour, (more is always better). Work hard, because you never know where music might take you.
I have done many major performances with the 562nd Air Force Band of the West. My most memorable was the 4th of July "Sparkle" event on Santa Barbara Beach. There was over 10,000 people in attendance.

I took lessons from kyle on alto sax for about a year and a half. He was very enthusiastic about music and always showed up prepared... even when I was not. Although he was very chill, he definitely made me work for our lessons, which was good because I noticed improvement even after the first few lessons and in the 3rd quarter at school I got first chair in concert band. Keep up the great work Kyle!!!
