In my time with Coach Hursch, he helped change the course of my football career not only by improving my physical acumen, but my mental as well. Hursch introduced me to a series of drills and exercises that I was not familiar with at first but I decided to trust the process and I improved so much physically. Hursch will always shoot things straight and his passion for helping his athletes is truly unmatched.

What I like the most is how he started out in depth he trained me. He broke me all the way down to my lowest. He took that and elevated me to become not only a better man but also a great player as well. It will feel like the worst thing ever but he only does it to make you better so you can believe in yourself more. He most definitely brought out a side of me that I didn’t know I had in me. Derek Hurschman was my college Defensive Line Coach at the College of the Siskiyous. Derek strives for proper technique and 100% effort when coaching. He also emphasizes the importance of being physically tough but also mentally tough. Derek’s knowledge of the mental side of coaching and technical coaching style have left lasting lessons that I have used in all aspects of my life. Derek is an amazing coach and person on and off the field! I couldn’t recommend him enough.

When I worked with Coach I was shocked by how much of an emphasis he set on the little details. The biggest things Coach helped me improve were my recovery with tips on how to get better sleep, increased mobility, and speed. Without his help I would not have been able to maximize my performance which was a huge part of helping me move on to the next level.
