About Tiffany
I am a German tutor with real-life experience living and working in Austria, where I used German daily in both professional and everyday contexts. This has shaped my approach to teaching, as I understand how the language is truly spoken beyond textbooks.
I have experience supporting learners in improving their speaking, listening, and confidence, especially when transitioning from classroom German to real-life communication. My background includes practical language use in everyday interactions, which helps me guide students in a realistic and effective way.
What I enjoy most about teaching is helping learners move from hesitation to confidence when they start expressing themselves naturally in German. I especially enjoy seeing students understand not just grammar, but how to actually sound German in real conversations.
What sets my lessons apart is the focus on real-life language use, including everyday expressions, colloquial German (Umgangssprache), and natural speaking patterns. I help learners understand how Germans actually communicate, including informal phrases and slang when appropriate, so they can sound more authentic and less “textbook.”
My teaching method is structured but flexible: we build confidence through conversation, refine grammar in context, and improve fluency step by step through guided correction and practical speaking tasks.
