About Linda

I am an LPGA Class "A" Member. The LPGA leads the industry in Teaching! I want to make my lessons to be fun, as well as informative for all my students. I will work around THEIR physical attributes and skill level. After interviewing my student, I like to watch what they can do and then develop a plan to help them reach their goals. I also write a monthly article for the Leatherman Golf Learning Center website. There, you can find helpful hints on different aspects of the game. I have been at Leatherman Golf Learning Center for 14 years. I teach students (both adult and Juniors) with private, semi-private and group lessons. I have several highly competitive Jr. students that are working towards college scholarships. I pride myself on helping my students (of any age) reach their goals.

I LOVE what I do! I get to help people with their golf swings and game, while assisting with their mental attitude as it relates to their game. In essence, I get to change lives everyday - and it doesn't get much better than that! My Mantra is: Swing Happy!

I began by coaching Junior Students and playing competitively in Amateur Events. As my love of the game grew, along with my ability; I was encouraged by my boss and several PGA and LPGA members to join the LPGA Program in order to receive my professional certification.

I am an LPGA Class "A" Member. This process takes a few years in order to attain the Class "A" Certification. I have also taken certification training in many different areas of golf: Coaching, Mental Coaching, Putting and Adaptive Golf (teaching disabled people with physical issues - i.e., Military Vets or people that have suffered severe trauma)

About the lesson

I like to conduct an interview at the beginning in order to find out what is going on with their golf swing, as well as any physical limitations they may have. Then I like to know what their goals are for their game. Watch their swing motion and develp a plan (along with some drills) for their improvement.

I have worked with Adults (both Men and Women), Junior Golfers (both competitive and fun players), along with Military Disabled Veterans. I coach the Providence Day School Girls Varsity Golf Team, 2015 NCISAA State Champions.

Also, I coached the Mt. Notre Dame High School Girls Varsity Golf Team for 6 years in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Have a good, honest talk about what your goals are for your game. Try and put things into perspective about your ability and your swing. Look for a teacher that looks for the positive! I always tell my students, "I DON"T do Negative! If you want negative, go somewhere else. Negative neither inspires or motivates."

My most fond recent event was an 8 week Adaptive Golf Clinic that culminated in getting our Disabled Military Vets out on the golf course to play a few holes. I was in absolute awe of what these wonderful people could accomplish! They were so excited (and so was I!) to be able to get out there and swing. Hopefully, we have given them a good start and lots of encouragement so they will continue to play - no matter on what level.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is my ability level? Do I have any physical issues that might intefere with my posture and swing? What do I REALLY want to accomplish? You should always have a goal in mind (no matter how large or small) in order to start on the road to improvement.

I always want my students to go away from their lesson knowing 3 things: WHAT is happening right now? WHY is it happening? And, HOW can I make it better?

My lesson rates are as follows:

$50.00 for a 1/2 Hour Private Lesson, $85.00 for a 1 Hour Private Lesson. If you purchase a 4-Lesson Series, you will get a 5th lesson for free. These can be scheduled at your own convenience. The rates for a "Form Your Own" class of 4 people is $149.00 per person for Four 1-1/2 Hour Sessions.
