About Don

We fit the golfer for Performance.

I enjoy working with people and making them better golfers by simply providing them with equipment that works for their game and swing. I also enjoy the relationships that I build with each student.

Technology drove me to learn more about how a golf club works with a golfer's swing.

About the lesson

I like to assess the client's current set of golf clubs. I always ask to see if the client is working with an instructor and what they are working on.

All skill levels, from beginner to Tour Pro.

It is always important to try and understand how a golf club works for you and not the other way around. I feel that seeing ball flight is crucial when purchasing golf clubs. The proof is in the ball flight.

I am always excited when a new golfer receives their new set of clubs and has that "Aha" moment and golf becomes more fun to play.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What technology are you using and how long have you been fitting golf clubs. It is always a good idea to seek out a club fitter that is not brand specific. You should be fit for the best clubs for you, whatever combination of club manufacturers that might be.

Perfect! I've been thinking about new clubs for a while and new I wanted a quality fitting. Connected with Don and was able to get in the same afternoon. Don was great and listened to what I was looking for in new clubs and worked to zero in on the right set. Very methodical and started with getting the right ball flight and spin characteristics and then moved on to getting the right feel and shaft. Looking forward to getting the custom set of clubs and I am sure they will perform great!

I came to the Legacy Golf Performance Center with some real problems in my golf game, due to older and poorly fitted golf clubs. After two hours with Don, I was able to dial in some new clubs that allowed me to play better immediately. I appreciated Don's methodical approach and allowing me to go at my own speed when selecting/fitting my new clubs. Much appreciated and highly recommend!

Don Kinney is a very talented and knowledgeable club fitter! He is patient and accommodating and really knows how to fit to a person's play level. I also appreciated the club selection options at Legacy Golf Performance Center and the setting can't be beat! I will definitely come back for more!
